Red-brown leather wallet, lined blue silk and velvet, containing seven instruments: angled forceps with bulldog teeth; exploring director (stamped Hermann); slide-catch forceps (Tiemann); sprung levered forceps (Caswell, Hazard & Co); double-bladed pocket instrument with tortoiseshell handle (Codman & Shurtleff); two small scalpels with wooden handles (Tiemann). Also contains an empty small flat wallet, and a cardboard bobbin of surgeon's Chinese silk (Tsatlee).
